Quick answers

The things people ask most.

Live spot map

The website shows every rack location with current board stock and today's conditions at a glance. Filter by board type or spot name.

Seasonal conditions

Tenerife works year-round. South swells peak November–March. North shore (El Hierro direction) fires best in summer. Check the forecast on the website.

Best beginner spots

El Médano and Playa de las Américas are the most forgiving for progression — consistent small swell and beginner-friendly conditions.

Book ahead for big swells

Popular spots can sell out during named storms. Reserve online as early as you like — up to 2 months ahead — to lock in your slot.

Step by step

How it works, from start to finish.

01

Check the forecast

The website's forecast page shows swell height, period, wind direction, and crowd estimate for the next 7 days at each location.

02

Pick your spots

Plan your week based on wind and swell direction. The website suggests the best spot for your level each morning.

03

Reserve your board

Reserve your board, spot, and date online — it only takes about 2 minutes, regardless of swell size.

04

Explore the island

ONDA partners span the north and south of Tenerife. Reserve a different spot for your next session to explore new breaks — each session returns to the same spot you picked up from.

FAQ

Still have questions?

The north, around Puerto de la Cruz, is rawer and less crowded than the south — better suited to intermediate and advanced surfers who know what they're looking for.

ONDA is live in Tenerife only right now, with partners across the north and south of the island. No other cities yet.

ONDA memberships are for riders 18 and older, so there's no dedicated kids' program right now.
